Feel like taking a quick trip overseas? Tonight's "The Whole Wide World" at 6 will travel the globe (as usual) but with a long stopover in Iceland, where the Iceland Airwaves music festival took place from November 1-5 in both Reykjavík and the northern city of Akureyri, close to the Arctic Circle.

In addition to playing Icelandic artists you might know, like Björk (who just released a gorgeous new album last week, called Utopia), I'll also chat with UKNY host Kara Manning about some of the up-and-coming artists she saw this year at Iceland Airwaves, covering it for FUV (I went last year). So we'll hear buzzed-over Icelandic bands like Vök, Between Mountains and Kiriyama Family in addition to some of the other international and Stateside bands that headed north for the festival this year, like Norway's Sigrid.

Also, I've got selections lined up from St. Vincent, Sam Smith, Bette Smith and James Hunter too!

That's "The Whole Wide World" tonight from 6-9 p.m., EST — and if you miss the show, you can always find it in the FUV Weekend Archives immediately after broadcast.
