Rock 'n' roll lifer Willie Nile has brought passion and insight to the ten Bob Dylan songs he has recorded on his new album, Positively Bob. Some which were originally acoustic protest songs, like "The Times They Are A-Changin'" and "Blowin' in the Wind," have been reimagined as high-energy rockers. ("Blitzkrieg Bob," Nile deadpanned.)

But with his attention to every word, they resonate now more than ever.  Nile returned to WFUV with a couple of his friends, James Maddock on lead guitar and Johnny Pisano on bass, to tell us what inspired these choices and perform them live in Studio A.
