SongWorks Part 4, Watch Everest's Completed Song "Wrong Way Rider"

by Tim Teeling

They did it.

After four weeks in New York, Everest returned to Studio A to track their song, "Wrong Way Rider" that they wrote while here in the city. It has been quite a month for the band. As FUV's first house band, Everest have been busy playing shows across multiple boroughs of the city as well as Long Island. While setting up camp in Point Lookout, they wrote "Wrong Way Rider" and tweaked it to a final product.

Take a look to see the final product! An audio download of the final track will be made available shortly.

There is both an art and craft to songwriting. WFUV presents SongWorks, a new series where we will shine a light on this mysterious process. This month, Dennis Elsas talks with Everest lead singer, Russ Pollard, and takes us inside a previously unreleased song. Russ talks about the early start of the tune, the process of collaboration and what needs to happen to complete the song.

Stay tuned over the next four weeks as we'll watch this song come together.
