The aquarium will open about seven months after Superstorm Sandy devastated the facility.

The New York Aquarium has set a date for its partial reopening.

The aquarium in Coney Island says that, among other things, the sea lions will be out for the big day: Saturday, May 25.

The milestone will come about seven months after Superstorm Sandy devastated the 14-acre aquarium campus.

The storm severely damaged its buildings, exhibits, and the facility's aquatic life support systems.

The Wildlife Conservation Society made the announcement on Friday.
