Look to the skies for new transportation options.

New Yorkers may soon be in the air instead of underground when using mass transit. A real estate developer has proposed an "East River Skyway" that would connect Long Island City, Brooklyn and Manhattan.The high speed gondola system would be faster than the subway and could transport up to 5,000 people an hour.
