New Jersey Lawmakers Call for More Local Traffic Funding

New Jersey lawmakers are calling for local governments to get a bigger share of funding from the state to address transportation issues in cities and counties.

Assembly Transportation Committee Chairman John Wisniewski says county and local roads account for 50 to 60 percent of vehicle traffic in the state, but municipalities get only 15 percent of the state's $1.6 billion transportation trust fund.
