New York City's CitiBikes will be relocated during snow storm.
New York City's Department of Transportation says it will relocate CitiBikes from major streets as soon as heavy snow hits.
The DOT says the bikes will be moved to docking stations on sidewalks and plazas so that the street stations can be shovel promptly.
The city is expecting two to four inches of snow on Tuesday.
The agency says if weather conditions make biking unsafe, the stations may be temporarily locked down. It says they will be reopened as soon as conditions allow.
The DOT says bike lanes will be plowed by the city.
NYC Bike Share, which runs the bike program, says red snow flags will be placed to mark the street stations for snow plow operators.
