Dean Fuleihan in charge of handling budget for new administration

Mayor-Elect Bill de Blasio has appointed Dean Fuleihan as the next New York City budget director.
Fuleihan has served as the principal fiscal and policy advisor to the Speaker of the New York State Assembly.  He also has experience negotiating state budgets.  De Blasio said he chose Fuleihan because they share a vision for the city.
"I resolved from the beginning, that we would find a verified progressive who also had the extraordinary skill to navigate and run our budget process.  Dean Fuleihan is that extraordinary talent who shares our values," said De Blasio.
As budget director, Fuleihan will develop budget strategies to invest in education and affordable housing.
