New York Judges Move Closer To A Pay Raise
New York State judges no longer have to rely on the State Legislature to give them pay raises. Governor Paterson today signed a bill that creates a commission to determine how much money justices should make. It will first meet in April of next year, and the first raise in more than 13 years is expected to come in April 2012.
