'Music Under New York' Gives Musicians a Stage Underground

The most recent group of musicians to join the program were selected earlier this month.

Every June, the MTA selects a group of musicians to play underground as part of their Music Under New York program. Entry to the program lasts a lifetime and can have big perks.

MTA Finally Quiets Subway Exhaust Fan In Queens

An exhaust fan that kept some Long Island City residents up at night is finally being quieted.

Special equipment is set to be installed on the fan along 50th Avenue the MTA has been using for several months to vent a nearby subway tunnel.  Queens Assemblyman Michael Gianaris says the fan is a major nuisance for residents of local high-rise apartments.
