Panel Votes to Expand Manhattan Historic District
The commission on Tuesday voted to add 190 residential and commercial buildings between West 79th and 87th streets to the Riverside West End Historic District.
The district, created in 1989, currently includes 264 structures between Riverside Drive and West End Avenue.
The buildings that would be added were constructed between the mid-1880s and 1930s.
