Sharks Spotted Close to Hampton Beach
Shark sightings off a Hampton's beach on eastern Long Island have forced authorities to again close a county park to swimming until further notice.
It started on Tuesday afternoon. About four or five 10-foot sharks were seen at Cupsogue Beach County Park, near West Hampton Dunes. Swimmers were ordered out of the water and guards were posted overnight.
Deputy Suffolk County Parks Commissioner Tracey Bellone says the sharks were spotted there again Wednesday.
