WFUV Programs:

The Alternate Side Show

WFUV nighttimes we bring you a healthy dose of our indie music channel, weeknights from 10pm-Midnight.

A taste of The Alternate Side

The Alternate Side is the indie music service from WFUV, available online and on HD Radio. The channel features a broad range of established and emerging indie rock and other styles, from across the city and beyond. [read more about it | or | go to thealternateside.org]

On The Alternate Side you may hear artists like Chairlift, Antibalas, The Postelles, Ratatat and many others yet to be discovered, alongside established international artists including Arcade Fire, Bjork, and The Decemberists. It's a kind of laboratory where we experiment with diverse genres and sounds as we build our own non-commercial web and radio service made right here in New York City.

Help us shape it! Tell us what we're doing right, and what you think of the music. Drop us a note with your ideas or suggestions, or tell us about a band you think would be right for the show. Write to Content Director Rich McLaughlin: rmclaughlin@wfuv.org.

More about The Alternate Side

You can stream from thealternateside.org or listen to HD Radio channel 3 at 90.7 FM in New York City. A companion to WFUV's flagship programming, the channel provides New York's indie music scene with a full-time local radio outlet, and connects artists and music lovers in New York and across the globe.
