Fordham Men’s Basketball Looks to Turn the Corner

by Mack Rosenberg

Ram Town :: WFUV Sports

Heading into last season, Tom Pecora said it’s time for his program to turn the corner and become a winning team. After what the Rams did in his first two seasons, who could blame him? Wins over top 25 Harvard, ACC opponent Georgia Tech, and then Big East foe St. John’s gave Fordham fans every reason to have high expectations.

Reasonable Passion or Jail-Worthy Stupidity?

The Simpsons :: FOX

The Simpsons provided a hilarious example of fan treatment of athletes in the classic episode “Homer at the Bat.” Bart and Lisa are taunting Darryl Strawberry when Marge says to them, “Kids, that’s not very nice.” Lisa responds by saying “Mom, they’re professional athletes! by Kelly Kultys

Eric Mollo, WFUV Sports

There was under 5 minutes to go in the game when quarterback Michael Nebrich stepped back on the field with his offense, down 29-23 to Temple. The Rams had been up 20-7 at one point, but the return of Owls quarterback Connor Reilly sparked the offense. Nebrich remained poised, even after barely converting two 4 plays on the last drive of the game. With just seconds left, Nebrich threw it 29 yards to wideout Sam Ajala for the score and the win.
