Murphy Selected as All-Star for First Time

The Mets are used to sending a talented infielder to the summer classic in recent years, but time missed due to injury and a lengthy slump kept the team’s captain David Wright from being picked to the National League All-Star team this year. Instead, Mets second Baseman Daniel Murphy gets the honor of representing the New York Mets at the All-Star Game in Minnesota next week.
