The Masters with Hank Gola

by Mike Watts

Hank Gola of the NY Daily News gave us twenty minutes from Augusta National to talk the Masters this week on One on One.  Jake Kring-Schreifels and I ask Hank where the best place to watch the greatest event in golf, while Hank was more interested in what was happening in New York.  Tiger Woods' penalty, Tianlang Guan making the cut, the relative unknowns at the top of the leaderboard and the "sub-par" efforts of Graeme McDowell and Phil Mickelson.

One on One speaks with Sharon Robinson

by Jake Kring-Schreifels

Saturday afternoon Mike Watts and I had the distinct pleasure of speaking with Sharon Robinson, an author, education consultant to MLB, and daughter of Jackie Robinson. After seeing the film seven times she says, Sharon discusses the new film "42," her own memories of her father, and the current state of baseball. With a few books to her name, and a new biography out about her father, Sharon Robinson says she is looking forward to April 15th and is eternally proud that #42 continues to mean something today.

Tania Grossinger: A Special Friendship with Jackie Robinson

by Jake Kring-Schreifels

In 1997, One on One interviewed Tania Grossinger, now a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, a freelance writer and public relations consultant. As a little girl growing up in her cousin’s Catskill Resort Hotel, she saw many celebrities check-in each day, but it was Jackie Robinson who was most special to her. She is best known for her work “Growing up at Grossinger’s” and currently the author of “A Memoir of an Independent Woman.” Jake Kring-Schreifels caught up with Tania again to discuss her chance encounter with #42, their lasting relationship, and her most recent children’s book “Jackie and Me: A Very Special Relationship.”
