Early Success In Vegas for the Knicks

The Knicks began the 2014 NBA Summer League on a high note with a 76-64 win over the Dallas Mavericks Friday, a successful coaching debut for Derek Fisher. A starting five of Shane Larkin, Tim Hardaway Jr., Cleanthony Early, Cameron Moore, and Cole Aldrich provided a sense of the type of young talent that the Knicks are showcasing in Las Vegas.

So much for home-cooking. After winning three straight games at home, the Liberty believed they had turned a corner, but lost to the San Antonio Stars on the road. Heading back home, the Libs (7-13) thought they had a good shot at winning their fourth game out of five Friday night, but lost to the Los Angeles Sparks (8-11) 68-54.

Shane Larkin Not Fearful of Eastern Conference

Hours after LeBron James announced his decision to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Shane Larkin - fresh off a 10-point, 5-assist performance in the NBA's Summer League opener - shrugged off the news.

"I kind of had a feel for it," Larkin said. "The way things ended for them in the finals – for him to be averaging 30, 10, and 5 and get beat by 30 points – I just had a feeling that team was starting to unravel at the end of last season."
