Yellow Jackets Sting Rams

The Fordham Rams fell to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 73-48 in what was only the third time in school history that the Rams played in the state of Georgia. The Rams battled and kept it close early, but the home team from the ACC pounded the Rams in the second half on the way to a dominating win.

As they have done all season, the Yellow Jackets relied on a balanced offensive attack. Big men Daniel Miller and Robert Carter, Jr. had their way down low, combining for 28 points and 10 rebounds. Georgia Tech also capitalized on 14 Fordham turnovers.

For the Rams, Chris Gaston picked up two early fouls and struggled in the first half, shooting just 1-8. Georgia Tech led 35-25 at the break. However, Gaston was terrific in the second half, scoring 8 quick points to get the Rams within six at 41-35. But from that point on it was all Georgia Tech, as they would outscore the Rams 32- 13 in the final 17 minutes of the game.

Gaston finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds, and Branden Frazier had another nice game with 18 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds. With the loss, the Rams fall to 3-10. They take on Monmouth on December 31st at 4 PM at the Rose Hill Gym.
