Fordham (6-0) and Lehigh (4-1) seemed nearly even through 29 minutes and 40 seconds. A 40-yard touchdown to Sam Ajala with 13 seconds left in the first half proved to be a turning point, as the Rams outguned the Mountain Hawks down the stretch to extend their unbeaten start.
A pair of second half turnovers by Lehigh, a muffed punt and an interception by Levon Williams were key to the Rams blowing open the game.
In total, Fordham had 630 yards of total offense, to 429 for the Mountain Hawks. Sam Ajala finished with three touchdowns, while Tebucky Jones added a deep score to seal the win. Michael Nebrich, Carlton Koonce, and Jared Crayton each ran for touchdowns in the win.
