Maetzold Has 5 Turnovers in Loss to Lafayette
The Rams' quest for the undefeated season fell short in a 24-7 loss against Lafayette. The Leopards jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. In a game that had 9 turnovers between the teams, Fordham never could capitalize on the turnovers. The Rams also had 8 penalties, which slowed down their offense. The Leopards dominated many aspects of the game including time of possession, holding the ball for almost 35 minutes. The team also racked up 245 yards on the ground.
With starting quarterback Michael Nebrich sidelined this week with a knee injury, the Rams once again turned to Peter Maetzold. Maetzold and his offense had a rough day, only reaching the endzone twice, plus 5 turnovers.
