Mandell Thomas' career high 25 not enough to upset VCU

On Wednesday night the Fordham Rams took on the Rams of VCU in an Atlantic 10 showdown. In a game that featured 56 total threes attempted, VCU came out on top by a score of 76-60, en route to their 17th win of the season.

In the loss, Mandell Thomas finished with a game high 25 points, on a night that he was 9/16 from the field and 5/10 from three. Chris Whitehead pitched in with 8 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in his third start of the season. 

On the VCU side, Melvin Johnson led the team with 13 points while Jequan Lewis finished with 11 points in 18 minutes of work. 
 
With the loss, Fordham falls to 8-12 (1-6 A10) with VCU improving to 17-4 (5-1 A10).
