Joe Girardi, Derek Jeter React to Passing of Late Don Zimmer

During the Yankees' 7-4 loss to the A's at Yankee Stadium, it was announced former Yankees Bench Coach Don Zimmer had passed away at 83. Two players who he had special relationships with, Joe Girardi and Derek Jeter, spoke after the game on what he meant to them personally, and Girardi shared some touching stories from Zimmer's life.

Verne Lundquist: 2014 Vin Scully Award Winner

It might be easy for Verne Lundquist, who is now in his 50th year of sports broadcasting, to gloat about his long list of radio and television achievements. But that wouldn't be his style.

Truly humbled, and always reverential to his predecessors, Lundquist graciously received the seventh annual Vin Scully Lifetime Achievement Award at Gotham Hall in New York City on Thursday night.

ESPN's Tim Kurkjian Joins One on One

Tim Kurkjian, ESPN baseball analyst, joined the show and immediately addressed Terry Collin’s decision-making in Fridaynight’s Mets game. He also discussed some Yankees worries concerning CC Sabathia’s early struggles, Pineda’s pine tar incident, and the lack of stadium attendance in April. Kurkjian added some unique anecdotes and personal thoughts about the influx of Tommy John Surgery amongst younger pitchers in today’s game, too.
