In a game that had 9 turnovers between the teams, Fordham never could capitalize on the turnovers. The Rams also had 8 penalties, which slowed down their offense. The Leopards dominated many aspects of the game including time of possession, holding the ball for almost 35 minutes. The team also racked up 245 yards on the ground.

But the Rams rallied back, thanks to a Mike Marando field goal, to give them a 23-21 lead with eight minutes to play. It was a long eight minutes as the final 60 seconds alone featured turnovers, penalties and a blocked field goal, but Fordham hung on for the victory.
