Mets have a tough hill to climb if they want to play in October
When the waiter asks how I want my burger, I usually say medium. When people ask me how the Mets' season looks, I say it's well-done.
The Amazins' sit in third place, and they're looking up the NL East at two good squads in Atlanta and Washington. Sure, there's two wildcard spots, but the rest of the National League features St. Louis, San Francisco, Arizona, as well as (believe it or not) Pittsburgh. One of those four teams will certainly finish with a better record than the Mets.
But hey, what do I know? Do you think the Mets will make the postseason, or is it time to start talking about next year?
