I witnessed Palice Malice take home the 145th running of the Belmont Stakes. I’ve seen the Rangers win in overtime and I’ve seen the Yankees pull off an impressive ninth inning comeback. But I don’t think anything was as crazy as watching Saint Bonaventure’s Jordan Gathers nail a three as time expired to send his team to the semifinals of the A-10 tournament.

In this edition of Five on Three, Anthony Pucik, Patrick Burns and Kristian O'Hara look into the health of Rich Peverley and how the NHL handled the situation.

Also, they look into the seven-game win streak of the Boston Bruins and if they are the best team in the Eastern Conference.

Finally, a look into the three local teams: how Ruutu has helped the Devils, how St. Louis has not helped the Rangers' issues scoring and why the seven-goal third period for the Islanders is good, but not great.
