His Thoughts on the Longer Race and Commanding Curve’s Chances

As the post time for the 146th running of the Belmont Stakes draws nearer, all eyes continue to follow California Chrome and his hopes to become the first Triple Crown winner in 36 years.  For the rest of the field of Saturday’s race, the target painted on his back only becomes clearer.

Tom Bellhouse, Chief Operating Officer of West Point Thoroughbreds who owns Commanding Curve, is optimistic regarding trainer Dallas Stewart’s preparation of the horse and their horse’s ability to take the race.  Bellhouse stated he is “quietly confident” in Commanding Curve’s chances at spoiling the bid for the Triple Crown and also described the advantage he thinks their horse has over the rest of the field.
