As the academic year heads towards the home stretch, the Fordham athletic season also heads toward the finish line. As is the case every month, Fordham Athletic Director David Roach stopped by the WFUV studios to talk all things Fordham sports.
The 139th running of the Kentucky Derby is upon us, and rain isn't dampening the mood at Churchill Downs.
At times it wasn't a guarantee that the Blueshirts would make it into the playoffs. After essentially playing two weeks of playoff games at the end of the lockout-shortened season, the Rangers worked their way in as a six seed in the Eastern Conference. Their first round opponent is a familiar one: the Washington Capitals.
Ravaged by injury, the Chicago Bulls have given Deron Williams and the Nets a chance to climb back into their first-round affair, as the series shifts to the United Center for game 6 tonight. Tom Thibodeau's proud bunch heads home with a 3-2 lead, but reinforcements would surely help.
