Fordham outlasts Columbia for the Liberty Cup

Fordham outlasted Columbia Saturday afternoon 20-13, claiming its third consecutive Liberty Cup title. In the 11th renewal of the Cup, it was the Rams defense who came up big near the end on Lions QB Sean Brackett. A key penalty against Brackett occurred when he threw a touchdown pass on fourth down with under 2 minutes to go, but his foot was over the line of scrimmage and Fordham regained possession and ran out the clock.

Rams Celebrate Homecoming with 34-27 Win Over Cornell

The Rams came out slow in their third game of the season against the Cornell Big Red, but the offense came out strong in the second half to send the Cornell Big Red back to Ithaca with a loss. Despite scoring only 6 points at halftime, The Rams put 34 points on the board, and held the potent Big Red offense to just 27.

Weaving through ESPN Studios’ labyrinth of newsrooms, control centers, and TV sets with Tommy leading the charge, it’s easy to make this assessment. The big plot of land that has turned into the hotspot of sports media in Bristol, Connecticut is in constant revamping.
