Ricky and John were joined by Howard Beck, Knicks and NBA Beat Writer for the New York Times, to talk about the end of the 1st round and beginning of the 2nd round of the NBA Playoffs.

Let’s set the scene. It was the last home game of the season for the Fordham Rams. They were taking on the 3rd ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, the highest ranked softball team to ever visit Fordham. Fifth inning. Alabama was up 5-4. One out. Runner on 1st.

Even for those who do not breathlessly follow every happening in Hollywood, the quartet of ceremonies --- Emmys, Grammys, Oscars, and Tonys --- always attracts casual fans, just to see what movies, songs, television programs and Broadway shows that they’ve seen or heard over the past year take home honors.  I must confess that I am one of these casual fans, except when it comes to the Grammys; being a lover of music, I usually know all of the songs or albums nominated for the prestigious award.

It was March 1997, and 12-year-old Daniel Trush was playing basketball with his father, Ken. Daniel took a shot and missed, but then fell to the ground, grabbing his head. His father thought he was upset from missing the shot, but it was something far more severe: one of five brain aneurysms had burst inside Daniel’s head.
