Postgame Report: Fordham 60 Harvard 54

by Kyle Kesses

When the final horn blared upon 3,200 crazed fans at the Rose Hill Gym on Thursday night, it seemed as though Fordham’s six-point victory over Georgia Tech would be the Ram’s blue chip triumph in 2011-2012, a sign that Head Coach Tom Pecora was indeed moving the maroon and white toward better days. Coming off of a lackluster performance against Monmouth, the Fordham Rams were in search of a bounce back game when they took on the Siena Saints in Albany, and that’s exactly what they got. The Rams put together start to finish arguably their best performance of the season, as they trounced Siena 74-59, improving to 4-5 on the season. The Rams came out on fire, and shot 54% in the 1st half, including a blistering 7-11 from deep, staking themselves to a 13 point halftime lead.

Coming into Saturday’s match up with the Army Black Knights, Fordham fans had a lot to look forward to. The Rams had a chance to show that they could compete with an FBS (formerly Division 1) team. Fordham fans were excited to make the trip to Michie Stadium in West Point, New York.

Then the snowstorm hit.

You probably don’t know, however, the details of the relationship shared by these great football minds.
