On September 29, 2014 over one hundred WFUV alumni met to honor the history and enduring legacy of One on One, New York's Longest Running Sports Call In Show. Honorees included founding father Malcolm Moran and Executive Sports Producer Bob Ahrens.

On Friday night in Springfield, Massachusetts, Fordham University alum John Andariese received the Curt Gowdy Media Award for Electronic Media. Andariese was a member of the Fordham Rams basketball team from 1956-1960, and played in two NIT’s. 

HBO's "Glickman"

In the latest HBO documentary, Glickman, about revered sportscaster Marty Glickman premiering tonight at 9pm, director James Freedman seems intent on paying homage to his subject’s humanity just as much as his legendary resume of work. The first athlete turned play-by-play commentator, Glickman, who passed away in 2001, became a pioneer for sportscasters, calling everything from basketball and football at the professional level to the trotters at Yonkers raceway and inspiring listeners and future broadcasters, notably many who came through the halls at WFUV.

Postgame Report: Colgate 69 Fordham 79

It was not the most attractive 40 minutes of play but the Fordham Men’s Basketball team pieced together a 79-69 win over Colgate in front of 1,342 spectators at the Rose Hill Gym.  In a game that saw 6 players foul-out, 30 total turnovers, 53 fouls committed, and lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes, the Rams overcame an early eight-point deficit and evened their record at 2-2.
