Draft Day has an identity crisis. It’s not sure if it wants to be a 2014 NFL infomercial or exist in an authentically alternate universe. This dilemma is symptomatic of most sports films.

The New York Jets have selected Dee Milliner and Sheldon Richardson as the 9th and 13th picks in the NFL Draft respectively. The selections are defensive heavy to say the least. Dee Milliner is a cornerback who will be expected to fill the spot that has been left with the loss of Darrelle Revis. But General Manager John Idzick said the selection of Milliner was not made just to fill shoes.

What a Weekend

As predicted, John Skelton was selected in this past weekend’s NFL Draft.  He had to wait until Saturday afternoon, but just before one o’clock, the Arizona Cardinals made him the 155th overall pick, as they used a fifth round selection to grab the Fordham quarterback.
