The 49ers entered the game with 14-2 record and had held their opponents to just 36.5% shooting, which ranked them tenth in the entire country. When it was all said and done, Fordham hung extremely close late in the game, but it was the 49ers who came away with a 74-68 victory.

The Fordham Men’s basketball team is not off to the start that they had in mind. Their early season struggles can be attributed to an inexperienced roster, playing just one of their first eleven games at the Rose Hill Gym and the loss of senior forward Chris Gaston, who has led the team in scoring and rebounding the last three seasons.
