David Grenning stops by to break down the field from Louisville

It’s almost Derby time!

David Grenning of the Daily Racing Form joined One on One to discuss the horse racing field for the 140th annual running of the Kentucky Derby. He gave his thoughts on frontrunner California Chrome, why California horses don’t fare as well on the Kentucky track, and the controversy surrounding Tapiture and accusations that owner Steve Asmusen has treated his horses unethically.

Plus David gives you his Trifecta! Take a listen below before the race.

Palace Malice Crowned King at 145th Belmont Stakes

Todd Pletcher's Horse Beats out Derby, Preakness winners

Trainer Todd Pletcher stacked over 1/3 of the field for the 145th running of the Belmont Stakes with his record-tying five entries. He held all of his horses out of the Preakness to prepare for this race. He brought his family including his father, wife and children, out to the track to hopefully celebrate a victory with him. And they were able to do just that as his strategies paid off. His 13-1 underdog Palace Malice, who had just one win before the Belmont Stakes, took home the victory for the trainer and owner Cot Campbell.
