Watch: Bon Iver's New Video For 'Beth/Rest'

Yes, Justin Vernon's "Beth/Rest" does sound like it was conceived after he had a drunken night out with Dire Straits' Mark Knopfler and Gino Vannelli, but maybe that's why the song's slurry, '70s-style lope is such a guilty pleasure on Bon Iver's second album.

Now there's a video, co-directed by Vernon and Dan Huiting, that feels as dreamy and retro as the track. It features Mike Noyce of Bon Iver, dressed in what appears to be a glowing, white Snuggie, drifting through misty woodlands until he finds his true love. Groovy.

Says Vernon of the clip: "It's kind of about two people who are truly meant for each other and what happens to their essence. How they connect is some other thing that we don't know how to really talk about."

Okay.
