You may already be familiar with the two musicians in Sylvan Esso from their previous work. Singer Amelia Meath began in the trio Mountain Man (now on indefinite hiatus), and she's been the backing vocalist for an array of other artists, notably Feist. Multi-instrumentalist Nick Sanborn is a member of Megafaun and he also releases more electronically-textured compositions as Made of Oak. Sylvan Esso is the pair's main focus now, even inspiring Meath's move from Brooklyn to Durham, North Carolina to be closer to Sanborn. Last month Sylvan Esso released their self-titled debut and they're currently supporting tUnE-yArDs on tour. Meath and Sanborn recently stopped by Studio A to share some of their new songs, including their wistful single "Coffee," and spoke about their bond as a collaborative pair.

Below, watch Sylvan Esso in Studio A performing a two-song set and listen to the entire session now in the FUV archives or on The Alternate Side on 91.5 WNYE today, June 6, at 11 a.m. EDT, also streaming online.
