University: Michigan State

Reasons to draft

-       Has great body control

-       Is an excellent defender and is physical in the paint

-       Is a superb rim protector

-       Could develop into a high-level NBA big man

Reasons to pass

-       Currently possesses an average offensive post game

-       Is a liability at shooting

-       Must learn to move better without the ball

Skal Labissiere

20 years old, 7’0 216 lbs.

University: Kentucky

Reasons to draft

-       Potential growth on both sides of the ball

-       Great body control and foot work

-       Has shown that he can make jump shots

Reasons to pass

-       Is not NBA ready, will be a project

-       Lacks on court awareness

-       Is a below average rebounder

Domantas Sabonis

20 years old, 6’10 238 lbs.

University: Gonzaga

Reasons to draft

-       Is a very physical player

-       Has a variety of offensive moves

-       Is a dependable rebounder who will not be pushed around on the block

Reasons to pass

-       Has questionable defensive ability

-       Is a below average shot blocker

-       Relies too much on his left hand for scoring

Jakob Poeltl

21 years old, 7’1 240 lbs.

Reasons to draft

-       One of the best moving big men available in this draft

-       Is an elite finisher at the rim

-       Is a dependable defender at the rim

-       Is an excellent rebounder and great at tracking the ball when it in the air

Reasons to pass

-       Is not physical enough down low

-       Has shown poor balance, can be pushed around

-       Currently has almost a none existent face up game

-       Can not make a jump shot

-       Is a high energy player, who doesn’t take plays off

-       Dependable finisher around the rim

-       Can develop into a solid role player for a championship contending team

-       One of the biggest players in this year’s draft

-       Has a poor basketball IQ

-       Is a below average scorer

-       Must improve on his rebounding technique

Thon Maker

University: None, Orangeville Prep (High School)

-       Has the physical tools to develop into a NBA star

-       Extreme level of stamina

-       Runs the floor at an elite level for his size

-       Very raw on both sides of the ball

-       Needs to gain strength

-       Settles too much for poor jump shots

Taurean Prince

University: Baylor

-       Has a great pull up game

-       Is a versatile offensive player

-       Dependable on ball defender

-       Can’t be trusted to make the right decisions with the ball in his hands

-       Needs to improve his shooting consistency

-       Settles too much for jump shots

Brice Johnson

22 years old, 6’10 230 lbs.

University: North Carolina

-       Is an outstanding athlete

-       Potentially the best rebounder in this draft

-       Can finish at the rim no matter what

-       Can struggle against more physical players

-       Must refine his defense game

-       Fails to track ball location while it is in the air

Dragan Bender

-       Has the potential to become a physically dominating player

-       Runs the floor as if he were 6’3

-       Is young and has great upside

-       Elite level passer for a big man

-       Can make plays in transition

-       Must get stronger
