Fordham Conversations: From Afghanistan to Fordham

What it's like for a veteran to continue their education after service.

The beginning of the fall season marks the time when many people go back to school.  For veterans who have served overseas the experience of going back to school can be exciting, but can also come with its fair share of culture shock.

Being a soldier living in close quarters with brothers-in-arms for months on end is a world apart from being a college undergrad.    Will Germain sits down with 3 veterans who are all now students at Fordham University.  Carlos Gonzalez, Ameer Vincent, and Dan Hodd talk about how their experiences as veterans serving overseas shaped who they are today, and they contrast their war-time experience with what it’s like to go back to school.
