Hamilton Leithauser

The collaborative debut of Hamilton Leithauser of The Walkmen and Rostam Batmangalij of Vampire Weekend represents an exciting new creative chapter for two former members of two revered New York City bands.

While The Walkmen are on indefinite hiatus after fifteen years, freeing up Leithauser, Rostam recently announced his departure from Vampire Weekend after a decade. Batmangalij had produced Leithauser's solo debut, 2014's Black Hours — the former Vampire Weekend multi-instrumentalist had a long-standing desire to work with Leithauser, dating back to his college days at Columbia University.

In this powerful set at Rockwood Music Hall, Leithauser and Rostam play songs from their new album, I Had a Dream That You Were Mine. As the best collaborations do, their partnership brings the music to new heights, and we hear how their individual talents complement each other.
