For "Question of the Day," I'd like to know your favorite songs from the Clash or Joe Strummer — in honor of what would have been Strummer's 66th birthday today (he was born in Turkey in 1952).

Strummer is most famously known as a member of the Clash and maybe less known for his solo work and film scores. However you might know him, he is a pivotal songwriter and musician.

We'll celebrate his birthday by playing his music with a set after  9 a.m. — and talk about a new box set of his music coming out in September called Joe Strummer 001.

Songs played:

Joe Strummer and the Mescalaros - "Coma Girl"
Joe Strummer and the Mescalaros -  "Johnny Appleseed"
Joe Strummer with Johnny Cash -  "Redemption Song"
The Clash - "The Magnificent Seven"
