A CUNY exhibit is seeking to give a window into the lives of the earliest, often ignored, black Africans in the Dominican Republic. The exhibit, now open for viewing, includes letters and other documents from the archives of CUNY’s Dominican Studies Institute and the General Archives of the Indies in Seville, Spain. The exhibit is on view until September 10.
