Morning Brief: July 21

As many of us know, Donald Trump is running for president. During his campaign, he has criticized U.S. immigration policies. Trump specifically has spoken about undocumented immigrants from Mexico. He says he wants to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexican border to keep out undocumented immigrants from the United States. Furthermore, Trump says John McCain is not a war hero because he was captured. In response to Trumps’ latest comments, Mayor De Blasio announced Monday it is certain that New York City will no longer have any future business deals with Trump. According to CNN, the Mayor said, “What Mr. Trump said about Senator McCain was unacceptable. Senator McCain is a war hero by any measure, and [Trump] really should apologize for that. And I've said repeatedly, Donald Trump doesn't represent the views of the people of this city -- certainly not of the majority."
