Despite a citywide crackdown, it seems rogue street vendors are still a thing. When vendor Ahmed Mohammed was caught selling $30 hot dogs last months, New York City lawmakers launched a campaign to more strictly enforce posting prices in food carts. But despite that effort, many vendors still aren’t complying. So far, inspectors have made nearly 300 inspections, and at 57, the violations aren’t slowing down much.
