Morning Brief: June 19

A new exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York is paying homage to the city’s rich folk music history. The exhibit, called “Folk City: New York and the Folk Music Revival,” features photographs, documents, instruments and other memorabilia. In a review, the New York Times says the installation “captures the ambition, the ferment and the (sometimes contentious) sense of community” of Greenwich Village in the ‘50s and ‘60s. The exhibit runs through November 29.
