Groundhog Slay

Word has just gotten out that the famed Staten Island Chuck has died. Or rather, ONE Staten Island Chuck. Apparently the groundhog whose job it is to predict how much longer winter will last every February 2nd is actually a collection of groundhogs.

Anyhow, news got out today that the groundhog died a week after last February’s ceremony. At that ceremony, Mayor De Blasio dropped the groundhog, an event which some people are blaming for the death. The SI Zoo denies a connection, but it smells like a cover up…

The Mets fell to Washington 3-0. They host the Astros tonight at 7.

Giants topped Washington 45-14.
