The New York City Council Investigates D.H.S.

Six people recently got sick after eating a rotten chicken salad in a Brooklyn homeless shelter. On Thursday, the New York City Council's Committee of General Welfare looked at problems like rotten food and no refrigerators in rooms. D.H.S. does not inspect the food provided by caterers in homeless shelters.
