Queen Esther and Jon Regen-Sunday Breakfast-2015

Queen Esther and Jon Regen are both talented members of the New York music community. Queen Esther, who originally hailed from Charleston, SC, is a Harlem-based singer-songwriter-actor who was a finalist in the Mountain Stage New Song Contest. Although she's had operatic training, her musical tastes also include Black Americana.

Jon is a piano man from Manhattan whose latest album was produced by Mitchell Froom and features members of Elvis Costello's Imposters as backing members. The title track, "Stop Time," was actually inspired by a jam he had with Jeremy Irons (playing cello!) at a party in London.

Prior to their “On Your Radar” performance at Rockwood Music Hall, they joined me in Studio A for some stimulating conversation and live performances.
