Making a return visit to FUV's Studio A, Rubblebucket performed a couple of tunes from the band's new album, Sun Machine. Kalmia Traver and Alex Toth, the co-founders of Rubblebucket, have faced some challenges in recent years—Traver endured a health scare—but always at the heart of the Brooklyn-based band's songs is the duo's jazz-rooted musicality and collaborative spirit.

As you'll hear in this session, even some spoken-word wisdom makes its way onto Sun Machine, but Rubblebucket lets the music do most of the talking. Listen to the interview and performances below (check out the videos too), and to experience Rubblebucket in person, they'll be at Brooklyn Steel on Saturday, January 26.
