Bill Ryder-Jones left the Coral over a decade ago and since that time, he's been releasing uniquely beautiful solo albums — and producing bands like Our Girl, the Wytches, and Hooton Tennis Club. His new album, Yawn, was released in November and it suits these chillier months of contemplation; it's an intimate and exquisitely crafted vessel of grief and love.

On UKNY at 11, an especially lovely song from Jones's fine album, plus freshly-brewed releases via These New Puritans, Ibibio Sound Machine, Rosie Lowe, Soak, Berlin's Nils Frahm, and the Parrots, Madrid's feisty punk rockers who'll be making their way to Brooklyn's Rough Trade this Friday, February 15.

Catch up to UKNY anytime on demand in FUV's Weekend Archives, where you'll find all of the station's weekend specialty shows for up to two weeks after broadcast.
