Ahead of a sold-out show at Bowery Ballroom, Amy Ray and Emily Saliers made a quick trip up to FUV to join me on the air. They're about to release the new Indigo Girls album, Become You, and so their in-studio performance of "Moment of Forgiveness" and "Our Deliverance" were a lucky chance to preview the material.
We also talked about the sequencing of the album, mixing Indigo Girls songs with ballet, and Amy's statement in a lyric that "rock is cool but the struggle is better."
